I am agreeing with your opinion on this matter. This said, the fact that there’s a public outcry of similar statements doesn’t confirm nor infirm your view, nor that of anyone: Galileo was right, and yet, no one shared his view at the time. Historically, though, it is worth noting that any nation acceeding to democracy did so through turmoils and feats of extreme violence. Isn’t there any other way?
